After 15 years of sifting through attics, slinking through crawl spaces, and peeking behind knee walls, I’ve seen a lot of opportunities for improvement. I’ve audited homes dating from the late 19th century to houses built within the last 10 years. I’ve weatherized more than 1,000 homes and inspected hundreds more. Through the school of hard knocks, I learned what works and what doesn’t work.

 

Many of the more recurring concerns at homes are common throughout all eras of housing stock. Through a combination of visual inspection, infrared examining, and blower door testing a great deal can be learned about the integrity of a home’s thermal boundaries. Upon completion of an assessment, we will provide solid and effective recommendations as well as a comprehensive action plan.
